n., what this site keeps about you, and for how long.

1. Who I am

samibentaleb.com is run by SamDev, LLC, a Delaware company founded by Sami Bentaleb. In this policy, “I” means SamDev, LLC. I decide what happens to the information you send through this site.

Write to sami@samibentaleb.com about anything here. I reply within one business day and complete any request within 30 days. If you need a postal address for a formal notice, ask and I’ll send one.

2. What I collect

The intake form asks for your name, your email, your company or field, where you’re starting, what you’re building, a budget band and a timeline. It reaches me through Formspree, which also records the sender’s IP address, browser type, access time and referring URL, and keeps log files.

If you book a call, you do it on Cal.com, which collects your name, your email and anything you add to the booking. Cal.com’s own privacy policy covers that page. The booking then appears in my calendar.

If you email me, I keep the emails.

Vercel hosts the site and keeps short-lived request logs (your IP address, your browser and the page you asked for) to keep it running and secure.

Nothing else is collected. The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. With JavaScript on, it loads nothing from other companies’ servers. With JavaScript off, the form posts straight to Formspree and your browser lands on a page on formspree.io, which is Formspree’s site, not mine.

3. Why I use it

I use what you send to reply to you, to scope and quote your work, and, if you become a Client, to run and invoice the engagement. In GDPR terms, that is taking the steps you asked for before a contract, then performing the contract, and keeping the records tax law requires. Request logs fall under my legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.

I don’t sell your information, add you to a mailing list or use it to make automated decisions about you.

4. Who else sees it

Four kinds of provider handle your information for me, each under its own terms:

  • Formspree, which delivers the intake form
  • Cal.com, which handles bookings
  • Vercel, which hosts the site
  • my email and calendar providers

If a Specialist joins your Build, they see only what that Build needs. Nobody else gets your information unless the law requires it.

5. Where it’s kept

Cal.com and Vercel process data mainly in the United States, and some of their subprocessors work in other countries. Formspree processes it in the United States and wherever else it operates. I read all of it from Annaba, Algeria. Cal.com and Vercel cover the transfer under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. Formspree relies on standard contractual clauses.

6. How long I keep it

An inquiry that doesn’t lead to work:
deleted 12 months after the last message.
A Client’s details:
kept for the engagement, then for as long as tax and contract law requires.
Form submissions in Formspree:
kept in its archive for 30 days. The copy it emails me follows the first rule above.
Request logs:
kept by Vercel for a short time, under Vercel’s own policy.

7. Your rights

You can ask me to show you what I hold about you, correct it, delete it, send you a copy of it or stop using it. Email sami@samibentaleb.com. If tax law makes me keep a record, I’ll tell you which one and why. If you’re unhappy with my answer, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live or work.

8. Children

I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

9. Changes

When this policy changes, so does the date at the top. If a change affects information you’ve already sent, I’ll email you.
